It’s YOUR homegirl, Rosemary Lewis…teacher turned top-producing real estate agent. Like best friends do, I’m giving you all the tea related to navigating and thriving in these real estate streets! Everything's better with friends, so let’s succeed together!

HEY REAL ESTATE BESTIES!

Today I want to share one of my favorite activities with you. One that has helped me calm my noisy mind and grow closer to God.

Jesus Walks….

I’m not sure where I got the name, perhaps from Kanye but Jesus Walks have become a staple in my life. I want to encourage you to try it.

To go on a Jesus Walk is simple… lace up your shoes, grab a water and simply get outside to meet Jesus. I love going to a local trail near my house to take in the greenery and open fields, but if time won’t allow walking in my neighborhood works too.

During these walks I take some time to first acknowledge God and His works all around me. From the bright sun in the sky, the fresh air filling my lungs, the people walking by in His image and likeness— when you stop to pay attention, you will see God all around you.

Then I take some time to literally talk outloud to God as I walk.

Sometimes my words are full of gratitude for the simple miracles in life that I often take for granted.

Sometimes I am unloading frustrations about a deal or personal matter that is burdening me.

Sometimes I ask about my future and my purpose.

There are days that I listen to worship music as I walk and days that I walk in silence to distinctly hear His voice.

Each day that I do this, I find myself growing closer to God because we are spending time together.

So here’s your encouragement….

Go on a Jesus Walk. Take some time out today or tomorrow and just connect with your Creator.

Don’t overthink it. Don’t over plan it. Just put your phone on Do Not Disturb and head out the door. He’s waiting to connect with you. Go spend time with your God.

Your Real Estate Bestie,

P.S. After your walk, snap a picture and tag me on social media. Let’s start a movement by encouraging others to get moving and start connecting with God.
