I had a client who absolutely loved me during their home-buying journey. I helped them secure their drOne of the most beautiful things about being a real estate agent—especially after doing it for a few years—is the way your business starts to come full circle. Clients not only return when they need to buy or sell again, but they also refer the people they love.
Recently, I got a call from a past client because his son was now ready to purchase a home. As we talked through the logistics and mapped out the next steps, I took a moment to thank him for trusting me with something so personal. His response stuck with me:
“Of course. He’s my only son, but I know you’ll take really good care of him.”
His words immediately made me think about how God willingly gave up His only Son for us.
And the most humbling part? God did this knowing that we would fall short. He knew that, at our core, we are sinners by nature. He knew we would reject Him, doubt Him, and fail time and time again. And still, He entrusted His Son to us.
He allowed Jesus to come to earth, knowing that He would be misunderstood, betrayed, and ultimately sacrificed—all so that we could have the opportunity to be in relationship with Him.

John 3:16 (ESV) says:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
I can only imagine the love my client has for his son—the care and protection he wants for him. And yet, that love pales in comparison to the love God has for us.
So today, let’s sit with that truth: God gave His most precious gift not because we deserved it, but because He loves us that much. What a humbling, incredible blessing.
