HEY REAL ESTATE BESTIES!

The other day, I was feeling so overwhelmed.

Not because something bad happened—but because everything was happening all at once.

I had just wrapped up a coaching session with my Besties (which always takes a lot of energy in the best way), was negotiating back and forth with a builder on a persistent issue for one of my clients, and had just gone live with a new listing. Then my husband called and asked what was for dinner—and honestly? That one question sent me over the edge.

I didn’t have the capacity. I felt stretched thin, like I was being pulled in a million directions.

And in that moment, I said something out loud to my friend Kim, who happened to be at the office with me. I was venting, spiraling a little bit, and just trying to get it all out.

Kim didn’t offer advice.

She didn’t give me a to-do list.

She walked over, hugged me, and prayed.

She prayed for peace to fill my heart.

She prayed over the business, my family, and all the moving parts.

She invited God into the chaos of that moment and asked Him to calm the storm.

It reminded me of the kind of friend Jonathan was to David.

1 Samuel 23:16 says:

“And Jonathan, Saul’s son, rose and went to David at Horesh, and strengthened his hand in God.”

Jonathan didn’t try to fix David’s situation. He simply showed up and strengthened him in God.

That hug and that prayer from Kim was exactly what I needed—more than I realized. And it made me wonder…

Do you have a friend like that in your life?

Someone who shows up, prays with you, holds space, and reminds you of God’s presence?

If so, take a second today to send them a message. Just a simple, “Thank you for being that friend.”

And if you don’t—look for ways to be that person for someone else.

Because we all need a Jonathan.

And sometimes, we’re called to be one.
