“Thanks for all of your hard work, but I’ve decided to go in another direction and hire a local realtor. God bless you.”
I was walking into Target when I received this text from a homeowner. We’d connected at an open house, and our conversation went so well that I scheduled a listing appointment. During that meeting, we discussed everything from getting her house ready to Jesus. She didn’t want to sign the paperwork until she met with one more realtor, but she assured me her mind was made up.
Apparently, it wasn’t.
Reading that text, tears started flowing. This business was starting to feel like rejection after rejection, and it broke me down.
Ever been there?
Rejection can leave us feeling like we’re not enough, but here’s the truth: God has already chosen you. While others may not recognize your worth, you are handpicked by Him. 1 Peter 2:9 reminds us we are God’s special possession. Rejection doesn’t change your calling or His plan for your life.

So, when someone walks away, trust that God is making space for something greater. Keep going, knowing you are seen, loved, and chosen by Him.
I’d love to know: what does it mean to you to be “chosen” by God, and how does that impact how you handle rejection?
Your Real Estate Bestie,
