A few days ago, I showed up to the office and honestly, I just did not feel like being there. Between personal issues I was carrying and the weight of showing up for the business, I was drained before I even sat down at my desk.
In that moment, I had to pause and pray—not for my clients, not for my team, not for my family—but for myself. I prayed that God would give me the wisdom to only pick up what I truly needed to pick up that day. I asked Him for the capacity to do what He was calling me to do, and the wisdom to also rest.
Because here is the truth. We often try to go all gas, no brakes. We push, we hustle, and we wear ourselves out doing things in our own strength. And Bestie, that is just not it.

The Bible reminds us:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28
So I want to remind you today of something I had to remind myself. As you’re lifting up your buyers, your sellers, your friends, your family, and everyone else in prayer, do not forget to pray for yourself too. Invite God into your needs. Ask Him for wisdom, for strength, and for peace.
Because prayer is not just for everyone else around you. It is also for you. And when you pray for yourself, you are choosing to partner with God and the Holy Spirit for what He is specifically calling you to do.
🙏🏽 Lord, thank You for the gift of prayer. Help us not to neglect ourselves when we come before You. Teach us to lay down the things we are not meant to carry, and give us wisdom, capacity, and rest for the things You have called us to do. Amen.
Your Real Estate Bestie,
