HEY REAL ESTATE BESTIES!

We’re already a few days into the new year. Statistically, millions of people are starting New Year’s resolutions tomorrow that will likely stick for a few weeks until they get bored with the lack of results and revert back to their old ways.

I’m not sure what’s on your resolution list—or if you even subscribe to the idea of resolutions—but I want to encourage you to commit to one small but powerful habit this year: spending 20 minutes a day with Jesus, every day, for the rest of your life.

Now, I know this may seem like a big commitment. And unlike losing weight, training for a 5K, or sticking to a budget, this habit doesn’t just offer temporary satisfaction—the true reward is eternal. By spending time with Jesus daily, you will strengthen your relationship with Him and go from a surface-level connection to a deep and intimate understanding of who your Heavenly Father is.

As real estate agents, this routine is especially important. You are serving people in some of the biggest financial and emotional decisions of their lives. You will be tested, tried, and stretched in ways that can feel overwhelming. For many of your clients, the way you treat them may be the only Jesus they ever experience. That’s why it’s essential to guard your heart and mind with the Word of God. When you fill yourself with His presence, you’re equipped to serve your clients with love, patience, and integrity, becoming a light in the marketplace.

If you’re wondering where to begin, here are a few simple ways to start this routine:

  1. Pick a Time. Choose a specific time each day, like first thing in the morning, to spend with God. Starting your day this way will set the tone for everything else.
  2. Find a Spot. Designate a consistent place to meet with the Lord—your favorite chair, your couch, or even your closet.
  3. Grab a Bible. A physical Bible allows you to highlight, write notes, and track your growth over time.
  4. Listen to Worship Music. Start with a worship song to prepare your heart and focus your mind on God. (I’ve created a playlist to help you!)
  5. Be Patient. Some days may feel routine or unproductive, but stay consistent. Over time, you’ll see your relationship with Jesus deepen.
Daily Habit, Eternal Reward - Proverbs 4:23 - Real Estate Bestie Devotional - Rosemary Lewis

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it” (Proverbs 4:23). This habit of meeting with Jesus daily will not only transform your life but also equip you to serve others with a Christlike heart in your business.

My prayer is that you grow your relationship with Him in 2025 and allow His presence to overflow into every area of your life—including how you serve your clients.
