HEY REAL ESTATE BESTIES!

The other day, my neighbor sent me a photo of my roof. And no, he wasn’t just being nosy. He lives in a two-story home, and I live in a one-story. From his upstairs window, he could see something I couldn’t—there were a few shingles loose on my roof.

That wasn’t the first time he’s looked out for me. If my gate is open and the dogs could get out, I get a text. If I leave the garage door open, he lets me know. If a package has been sitting out too long, he gives me a heads-up. He’s always paying attention and trying to help where he can. He’s just a good neighbor.

And when I got that photo of my roof, it hit me. My neighbor shares things with me that can save me money, prevent stress, and avoid danger. But am I that intentional when it comes to sharing the good news of Jesus?

The truth is, a few loose shingles or an open garage door might lead to a repair bill or a temporary headache. But not sharing the gospel? That has eternal consequences.

Romans 1:16 - A Picture From My Neighbor's Window - Real Estate Bestie Devotional

Paul wrote in Romans about being compelled to share the gospel. He wasn’t casual about it. He felt the weight of it deeply. In Romans 1:16, he said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” Paul understood that this message wasn’t just good news—it was the best news.

So here’s the question for us today: Are we being good neighbors? Not just the kind who brings in the trash bins or waves hello, but the kind who is willing to speak life. The kind who points people to Jesus through our words, our actions, and our love.

Who in your life needs a heads-up about the goodness of God?

Who needs to hear that there is hope and healing through Christ?

Let’s be bold enough to care. Let’s be the neighbor who shares the news that truly saves.
