HEY REAL ESTATE BESTIES!

Do you pray over your business?

This isn’t a trick question but a complicated one.

For many Christians, we are taught to pray for the sick, to pray for people in need and to pray away hardship. If someone posts on Facebook that they are dealing with an illness, lost a loved one or are struggling in some way, the comments will be filled with people saying that they will pray.

But if someone posts a closing, a new office or a new car, rarely are we prompted to pray that God’s abundance will continue to show up in their lives. Most of us just don’t think like that.

Add in our own endeavors, it feels selfish to pray for success when God has so much more to care about.

I used to think this way until I met Jennifer. She’s an incredible business coach I stumbled upon after reading her book, ‘Fear is Not The Boss of You’. I joined her coaching program and was surprised to see “War Room” sessions scheduled every month.

Now, these weren’t your typical business strategy meetings. They were hour-long prayer sessions where all of us coaching students gathered to pray for our businesses. And let me tell you, it was eye-opening.

Instead of just asking for success, we prayed for wisdom in decision-making, financial breakthroughs to benefit not just ourselves but our employees too, mental resilience to handle the stress of entrepreneurship, and divine favor to break any negative patterns holding us back.

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:6

The bible says to acknowledge God in all ways. ALL means ALL. God wants to partner with you in every area of your life including business.

Sure, you must put in the work—build systems, seek advice, get strategic—but remember importance of bringing your businesses to God in prayer. So, next time you’re faced with a big decision or a milestone, why not take a moment to lay it all out before Him? You might be surprised at the clarity and direction you receive.

Prayer: Father God thank you for giving me the desire to be a real estate agent. I want to honor you in every area of my life including this business so please guide me and order my steps. I pray for the wisdom, confidence and competence that only you can give. I ask for favor over my work so that I can shine a light on your kingdom through my service to others. Please direct me in my words, actions and decision making. Show me how to honor you and represent your kingdom well in the marketplace. In Jesus Name!
