HEY REAL ESTATE BESTIES!

The sky is always falling in real estate— at least that’s what the media wants us to think. The headlines are always attention grabbing because let’s be honest, fear sells. This week was no different.
The 6% commission on buying or selling a home is gone.”

On Friday, NAR announced monumental changes in the way realtors will do business moving forward. Facebook groups were flooded with realtors sharing their disappointment, fear and frustration with the decision. I even saw ‘industry leaders’ gloating as they predicted this change will eliminate hundreds of thousands of agents from the business.

Truth be told, I don’t have all of the answers but I know this. We have a choice to make right now.

Choose Faith or Choose Fear.

The reality is that our industry is about to change and we all are embarking on unknown territory. But as believers we don’t have to be afraid of that.

Why?

Because NAR isn’t our God.

Neither are interest rates, low inventory reports, brokerages, news outlets, snippy Facebook groups or even commission.

God is our God.

The same God that created the universe, raised Lazarus from the dead, caused water to come from a rock, made the blind man see and parted the Red Sea…He is the same God that loves you and will provide.

Might we have to pivot?

Yes.

Do we have to fear?

No!

Why?

God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.  Ephesians 3:20-21 Message Bible

Bestie, that’s the God that I’m choosing to trust. I invite you to trust in Him too! If fear has tried to enter your heart, take a few moments and talk to God about it. Lay all of your concerns and desires at his feet. Trust Him with your heart.

If you are reading this, that means that you have already survived 100% of your bad days. The same God that was faithful to you then, remains faithful to you now.
